Our Specialized Instructors
A team of dedicated instructors has been developed here at Dream Riders. So that we may pursue our mission in a manner consistent with our values, while keeping a constant eye on our strategic directions at all times. Our certified instructors are responsible for maintaining our program's accreditation by adhering to all PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) standards
Jennifer has been an avid horse person from the start. She started with formal Hunt Seat lessons at age five and started competing at age six. At age fourteen Jennifer entered the world of Dressage and actively competed in Dressage for seven years. Then went western and took up reining, which was not as fulfilling for her as Dressage. She is back in the Dressage world. She currently owns a Friesian Sporthorse and trains in the art of Dressage under the instruction of Jill Allard. Jennifer and her Friesian Sporthorse "Prince" won the South Carolina Dressage and Combined Training First Level professionals division for 2011. Jennifer is working towards her United States Dressage Federation Bronze medal rider award. She was a member of the Lexington county 4-H, qualified for 4-H regionals four years and attended three years placing in the top ten each year in the Dressage competition. She won the South Carolina Dressage and Combined Training Junior High Point for Training Level and First Level Dressage. Jennifer is a past member of the University of South Carolina Varsity Equestrian Team. Competing in Hunt Seat, Western Pleasure and Reining divisions at the Open level. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1998 with a BA in Sociology. She has been teaching riding lessons and training horses for 20 years. Jennifer is a registered certified riding instructor with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International and a certified Special Olympics Equestrian Coach. Jennifer is also a certified Open Horse Show Judge and Graduate of Horsemasters. She gives riding lessons in Dressage and is the Director/ Head Riding Instructor for Dream Riders therapeutic horseback riding program.

"Corky" C. Dyer is another truly dedicated, talented, and knowledgeable equine manager plus riding instructor for Dream Riders. Corky is a mother of a 32 year old son with special needs(mental retardation plus cerebral palsy) and combine this with her 54 plus years of horse experience, then add this knowledge with her daughter Jennifer Stoudemire ( head riding instructor) and you have a team that has developed the Dream Riders program into a model program recognized throughout the state of SC. Corky is our barn facility manager with the responsibility for all the equine classroom lessons, and is our volunteer coordinator. Additionally she is in charge of riders and volunteers in the arena at the beginning of each lesson while our head instructor oversees rider mounting and tack adjustments. During lesson time you will see Corky with her poop scooper cleaning up the riding arena during lesson time.
Corky is one who continually strives to increase her abilities as an effective equestrian instructor for special needs riders through continued education. Corky gives direction to Dream Riders in her ability to develop new ideas and plans for expanding the Dream Riders program to serve more people in the mid-state of SC. Corky's commitment to all people with special needs shows forth in her ability to serve on many local and state-wide boards focusing on people with special needs. She does all this, in addition to her devotion to her family and the Dream Riders program.
